Corey Perry man... who would've guessed that? I made mention of Point being injured and someone having to step up in the round 2 projections article. I discussed Palat, but I was surprised to see that it was Perry instead who won the 1st power-play deployment. Strangely enough, it actually worked. Perry scored 2 power-play goals, giving the Lightning the big body they didn't know that they needed down low. With the head to head matchup between Kreider and Aho, initially I thought I was in trouble. However, Kreider finished the series excellent. 2 goals in game seven to ice the bet for us.

Downfalls:

- Bad start on game 1s

- Zero goal scorers taken or bets above +150

- Over player prop bets were below average at 3-4

Eager to bet money on the first day, when actually all player props were up, I made the mistake of placing too many units on game 1s. Vincent Trocheck over 2.5 shots in game one was a little ambitious with two units. I could have used the first game as a good guideline of how the games were going to shake out.

Strengths of the week:

- Under player prop bets were amazing with 4-0 results (Under SZN is a thing in playoffs, I guess)

- Great discipline against doing many parlay bets

Honestly, I am so excited that under props were amazing this round. It gives me a lot of confidence to bet them moving forward, where maybe I was shy or scared to bet them in the regular season. Statically, they are usually the right play for shots and other props like that. One thing that boosted my confidence was the play of great defense in all of the Ranger / Canes games (until the very end, at least).
