To the King of the Props! It seems like this week we cannot get a break on game lines and puck lines and moneylines. Jordan Eberle just had to ruin the fun for us and take away a win for Anaheim yesterday late in the 3rd. Therefore, I will now proceed to go crazy with player prop bets and have one or two that will absolutely blow your mind today!
Oskar Lindblom Anytime Goal Scorer @ Detroit (+350)
I know that you are thinking this is a reach. But let me convince you for one minute why it can be a good profitable bet today. Oskar is going full Gritty-mode with top line deployment next to Claude Giroux and Cam Atkinson. He has 11 (11!) shots on goal in the last 3 games. It was just verified on warmups that Oskar is staying put on the top line for today's game. Detroit has also been leaving opponents in games and giving up a lot of goals lately. If this alone cashes, it will cover nearly all of the other bets tonight.
Patrick Laine Anytime Goal Scorer @ Montreal (+145)
Laine has 6 goals in his last 4 games, and also sports 10 pts in the last 5. In their late January matchup, Laine scored 2 goals against Montreal. Sam Montembeault has given up 18 goals in 5 of his last 6 games he's seen some type of work. He also got chased by Columbus in their last meeting and Laine bagged a goal against him. Does Columbus have some late season magic in them to be this year's Dallas team from the bubble and go to the cup? If they did, I expect Laine to be a huge piece of that.
Mitch Marner o2.5 shots @ Vancouver (-130)
I hate to say it, and I know I usually jinx bets when I say it, but this is really easy money. Mitch Marner recently had his 8 game goal streak snapped, but he is still shooting the puck an ungodly amount. In the last 3 games alone, Mitch has 22 shots on net, including 10 against Calgary on Thursday. Vancouver doesn't exactly have an elite defense, so this seems easy plucking of the Canucks for Mitch tonight. Last year in 9 games against Vancouver while in the Cupcake, I mean Canadian division, Mitch lit them up for 12 points, while averaging 3.4 shots a game against them.
Brock Boeser o0.5 points VS Toronto (-120)
I rarely like taking more than one prop bet on the same game, but today is different. I like what Mrazek has done recently to battle back and start getting more decisions, lately, but let's be honest, this is just a fleeting moment in time. We all know this will not last. Carolina and Detroit fans are just smirking at the people saying that Toronto found their goalie to get them over the hump this year. While we all project the blowup to be the first round of the playoffs for the Maple Leaf team (and no I will not stop referencing this until they actually advance past it), I'm not sure that Mrazek will make it that long given his brittle durability. Brock Boeser last year had 9 points in 9 games against Toronto and he does have 6 points in the last 6. I do think Vancouver get on the board at least twice, and Brock should have a good chance to cash in given his recent performance, his history against Toronto and his line deployment of top powerplay and top line.
Matthew Barzal u0.5 points @ Calgary (+100)
Markstrom has been playing very well in the last few games, and Barzal has had a very weird and inconsistent season so far. As long as Cal Clutterbuck is stapled to his line for whatever reason on the FIRST line, I'll view this as a handicap for Barzal and assume he stays off the scoresheet as he is at his best playing as a playmaker for great goalscorers.
