You can't kick a goal in, but really you should be able to (especially since it would have helped us tremendously). Brendan Gallagher last night, our super secret featured bet of any-time goal scorer at +320, didn't officially cash in a goal. However, he did have a lot of chances with 4 shots, and 1 additional un-logged shot that went in, but with soccer-style (aka the "dreaded kicking motion"). The play was reviewed and I was praying that it would be overturned to a goal, as this would have completed and successfully cashed our 3 leg parlay last night for the final leg. Alas, it was not in the cards. We allow baseball swings to score goals, but you can't kick one in with your boot. That's where we draw the line. It's a shame really.
Later in the night, Josh Bailey decided to log an assist on the Islanders first goal, crushing our under 0.5 points bet in the process, but it was only counted a period or two later. I looked at the play, and Bailey had the puck and sent it around the corner and skated to the bench, where it appeared that Oliver Wahlstrom touched the puck at one point first, then dished off to Parise, who later dished it to the blue-line for Ryan Pulock's goal. It was originally logged as an assist for Wahlstrom, but apparently some stat-checker in the stands with binoculars had seen a better angle of it and rushed it to Toronto to correct the score. Very unlucky, but still comical as our under bets are getting absolutely CRUSHED right now. We have to be at least 1-5 in the last six under bets we did. I'm not sure exactly, it's too painful to look back. Come playoff time this year, I will definitely be shelling out BIG BUCKS for Penguin players, to all get under points, so I can gladly watch them hoist another cup with the help of the "Stat Glitchers Under" curse. And if I happen to win, then great! I will be wiping my tears away with Benjamin Franklins.

David Perron o2.5 shots @ New York Rangers (+135)
The Rangers are at home this game and they are very strong here, especially when Igor is in net. But check out their recent games played at home and the number of shots they are giving up.
Rangers shots against in the last 8 games at home:
Vancouver: 33
Washington: 37
Detroit: 33
Boston: 32
Florida: 36
Seattle: 42 (really???)
Minnesota: 34
LA: 36
David Perron with the +135 strikes me the best here, and he also is coming off an 8 shot game against the Chicago Blackhawks, where he scored 2 goals. He can be streaky, but when he is hot, you want all of the shares of Perron that you can get. Today, he was skating on the top line with Saad and O'Reilly in practice and was also on the PP1 unit. They also are enticing people on Draftkings to do a single game parlay "special" named "Igor for the Hart" or something like that, where the parlay is on the Rangers winning AND holding the Blues to 2 goals or less for just... +180. Yeah, no thanks. Moneyline NYR is going to be tough enough alone tonight. Holding the Blues to 2 or less, who scored 19 goals in the last 4 on top of that, is going to be really tricky.
Tage Thompson o0.5 points @ Toronto (-115)
It's no surprise to me that Toronto has been letting up a ton of goals lately. They are a classic team that is an offensive power-house and garner a ton of hype in the regular season, but have several huge problems lying underneath. Defense and goaltending are big problems right now obviously. When you blow a 4 goal lead to Detroit in the 3rd period and give up 7 total (still more than the Lions would have scored), you are not likely to be taken very seriously as a Stanley Cup favorite. +1000 is 5th best odds to win the cup, but they need to patch up some issues at the deadline first to be have a better chance. Tage Thompson comes into this game with 6 points scored in the last 5. Additionally, he did score a goal and an assist in their only meeting this year, as well.
Ryan Johansen o1.5 shots @ Seattle (+110)
Seattle has been getting hammered with shots against lately at home. 39 shots and 36 shots against when they played the Bruins and the Canucks. I know Johansen doesn't skate over 20 minutes a game as much anymore, but just 2 shots isn't hard to do against Seattle, especially when you get top power-play minutes still. Also, some of the recent lack of deployment for Johansen was because he's spent some time in the penalty box lately.
