Yesterday, if you follow our tweets you caught wind of the u6 line for Seattle and Vegas and the o6 line for the Rangers and the Red Wings that we were recommending. Both cashed successfully. My player props have been performing below average at best, lately, so I'm going to focus on game / team props mostly tonight. There is one anytime goal scorer at near +200 odds I am taking tonight though.
Nikolaj Ehlers anytime goal scorer @ Toronto (+195)
With Kyle Connor announced as OUT for tonight's game, this shifts the lines around a bit today. It looks like it could be Scheifele / Stastny and Ehlers again on the top line tonight. I like Ehlers the most to score out of all these players, and if we get the cheap barn-burner version or Toronto that we all love to make fun of, it could provide pay-dirt. Erik Kallgren was already confirmed as the starter, and he looked a little shaky his last game, which was against Montreal. Ehlers also scored a goal this year in one game against Toronto. If you include last year's games when the all Canadian division was a thing, he has 7 goals in 10 games played against the Maple Leafs. It helps that Toronto has given up 18 goals in the last 5 games as well, which is a little below average defense / goal-tending. This is another case of great value, but this time we are picking someone more reliable than Tommy Stonehands, who could still put up 30 goals this season realistically (even with the injury).
Blackhawks @ Florida Panthers over 7 (+100)
This is a crazy over / under line that has been set, but it really makes sense and lines up with the performance of each offense recently. Chicago put up 4 games in a row with 4 goals, then followed it up with a 5 goal performance against Buffalo. Ultimately, they blew a huge lead and squandered away 6 goals. This is some next level type of choking. Goal-tending and defense is a huge hole on this team. Florida have been putting up huge numbers as well recently. In fact, they put up 7 goals as a team on Tuesday against Montreal. Bob has also been a little off of his usual game, and I am surprised that he is not losing even more starts to Spencer Knight.
Blue Jackets @ Islanders under 6 (+100)
I really don't have a lot of faith in the Columbus offense to put up big numbers moving forward. Zach Werenski is out tonight, and did you know that the Islanders have a 16+ goal difference at home, positively? This is almost flipped entirely on the road. They also have locked down opposing offenses for around 2.25 goals against on average. Given that the Blue Jackets are not finding much offensive support from their bottom six recently, with just 1 goal scored in the last 4 games, I find it plausible for this be a low scoring game.
NJ Devils o2.5 Team Total goals (-105)
I swear, this is (mostly) not just a huge overreaction to the 6 goals the Bruins let up against Toronto. The Devils have been playing some great offense. Jack Hughes is starting to look more and more like the chosen one he was anointed as from day one. Nico Hischier is starting to become more confident as a potential point-per-game player and the team is finally healthy and clicking (sorry for any upcoming bad jinx there). Just count em up, if you don't believe me. New Jersey has put up 27 goals in the 7 last games. The Bruins are getting a nice odd boost at home, but I suspect this game go a lot closer than we expect. The +1.5 Puck line is also very tempting at -125, but I still think the Devils have moderate to troubling issues on defense, that the game can easily be blown open in favor of the Bruins in a barn-burner.
