Hockey Bets 03/15

We are just one day away from Austin 3:16 day and 2 away from St. Patrick's Day. However, this Tuesday we are blessed with 11 great games to choose bets from. Here is what is on the table:
Cole Caufield o0.5 assists VS Arizona (+115)
We are back on the Cole Train baby! First class ticket please! If you look at the last 10 games, which was a phenomenal run for Montreal, Cole has 9 assists total. In fact, he's logged apples in 8/10 games. I do believe there will be multiple goals scored by Montreal against Arizona, as Wedgewood who has been their best goal-tender is likely to get rested. While it looks like the Cole Train is still in progress, I will keep on logging the bets with him. It's possible he puts up a goal of course, but it's also possible he records more than just a point in this game. Given that his assist to goal ratio is nearly double, I think assists are a better bet than goal scoring tonight for Cole. Suzuki has logged 3 goals in the last 3 games, and his other usual linemate, Josh Anderson is a long time prime candidate of the Cy Young award in hockey. Since goals are listed first, the joke is that Josh only ever logs 25+ goals and like 3 assists (25-3), which would be an amazing pitching record. Don't look now, but if Cole can deliver a 1.5 point per game pace in the remaining games of the schedule, I actually think there is a great shot at pulling out rookie of the year still, since no rookie is really running away with over a point per game pace this season. I bet $1.75 on +6000 odds just a few days ago. It's most likely throwing away nearly 2 bucks, but hey- if the kid keeps it up, it could be something special.
Mika Zibanejad o2.5 shots vs Anaheim (-145)
So the odds aren't tremendous on this one, but Anaheim has really been getting beat badly with injuries, bad luck and terrible defense / goaltending. They just traded Josh Manson away, who skated the highest share of even strength time next to Cam Fowler in the last game. The front line combo last game (in terms of % skated) was Sonny Milano, Vinnie Lettieri and Trevor Zegras. Unfortunately for the Ducks, I do believe they are ending any hope of playoffs by becoming a seller during the trade deadline. Their time as first place in their division was short-lived, but it will not be forgotten. Zib will get the 3 shots by late 2nd period.
Tyler Seguin o0.5 points @ Toronto (-105)
Originally, I was looking for over 2.5 goals scored for Dallas as a team, but that wasn't very rewarding, so I thought to look down the line for Tyler Seguin. We are well aware that Toronto is not playing great defense recently. Matthews out of the lineup is going to hurt their chances to win this game. Seguin has been stapled to the 2nd line with Benn and Gurianov, but I think there is a fairly good chance here for a point. I know these games go back a few years, however, Seguin is also averaging two points (10 total) in the last 5 games played against Toronto.
Tom Wilson u0.5 points VS New York Islanders (-130)
In a previous article, I mentioned how Ilya Sorokin was dominating the net, and he did not disappoint with an absolute gem against Columbus that night. Unfortunately, for Tom there are a couple of things working against him for this game. The first issue is Sorokin (if confirmed as the Isles starter). The second issue is that he was taken off the first power-play unit with Ovie and the boys, and this has been a good means of their goal scoring potential recently. The final issue is that he has been replaced with Conor Sheary (but why?) on the first line and was bumped to the 3rd with McMichael and Eller. Due to the downtrend in deployment, the under should roll here nicely. Even if the deployment is shuffled around, we must remind ourselves that it's Tom Wilson and this guy could just as easily get in a fight with Matt Martin or someone and leave the game by the end of the 1st period.
Winnipeg Moneyline 60 minutes VS Vegas (+140)
I don't know if you know this or not, but it looks like Robin Lehner is going to miss some time. Also, ever since Jack Eichel skated as a Golden Knight, the team has been cursed with extremely bad luck and play. It's almost as if Buffalo was rig- nevermind. Laurent Brossoit has been alternating good play with bad play frequently this season. Winnipeg is at home and the crowd is in their favor. I think Winnipeg handles Vegas in 60 minutes. I am really looking forward to the self-destruction of this team.
Florida Panthers TT goals o3.5 60 minute @ San Jose (-120)
Florida is a huge favorite in this game, as San Jose has been the victim of some embarrassing losses lately. The Panthers are firing on all cylinders and cannot be stopped. I think we could realistically see 5, 6 or even 7 goals scored by them. There really isn't the need for a whole lot of thought here.
